About the game

Sudoku Online is a number puzzle on a 9×9 grid. You place the digits 1 to 9 so that none repeats in the same row, column or 3×3 box. Some cells already have numbers and serve as hints to start.

Difficulty goes from Easy to Expert, and each game has a single solution you reach by reasoning, not by guessing blindly. If you get stuck, you've missed something and can go back over your steps. Note mode helps you write down candidates and cross them out as the grid fills in. The X-Sudoku, Windoku, Killer and Kropki variants add extra rules: diagonals, highlighted regions, target sums or marks between cells.

How to play

  • Click a cell and type a number from 1 to 9.
  • Follow the basic rule: each digit appears only once per row, column and 3×3 box.
  • Start with the cells that have the most filled neighbours, since they leave fewer options.
  • Turn on note mode to write down several candidates and erase them when they no longer work.
